Overview

The City of Vista contracted Exante360 to provide design and consulting services for a security systems upgrade project at multiple sites throughout the city. The project covered sixteen geographically dispersed facilities, including six fire stations, the Civic Center, Public Works, sanitation yard, and several recreation facilities.

Exante360 Contribution

The scope of work included upgrades to the access control, video surveillance and intrusion systems. The systems were integrated with each other for seamless, central management. Over 350 new security devices were deployed at the time of completion.

Benefit to the Client

Exante360’s team conducted site surveys at every facility, along with user group meetings to develop a Basis of Design that was used to standardize the security design across the project. Exante360 finished the design phase and conducted multiple reviews with the client to achieve the desired outcome for the project. Construction drawings were issued for competitive bidding and construction purposes. E360 continued to stay engaged through the completion of the project, providing construction administration, commissioning and closeout services.

Operations Perspective

This project spanned several years primarily due to delays due to the pandemic. Exante360 kept the design current by periodically making updates to the drawings and the specifications, which resulted in the successful implementation of the new security systems for the City.
