LACCD District Wide Data Center

Los Angeles, CA

Overview

The goal for this project was to converge nine data centers into Tier 3. The client knew they wanted to accomplish this, but needed assistance to complete the process and become aware of any redundancies required for power and communication.

Exante360 Contribution

Exante360's efforts involved structured cabling and outside plant, and fire alarm design. The client's ongoing infrastructure project was not considering collaboration for point-to-point dark fiber until E360 brought it to their attention.

Benefit to the Client

For this project, the client initially wanted all new equipment, however, Exante360 identified that they still have viable equipment on site that could be utilized moving forward. The client also did not initially have a migration plann in place. After conversations with E360, they are now considering it.

Operations Perspective

The client had not completed this type of process before and at first, they didn't understand the intricacies of the project. E360 was able to educate the client on the process and work through it with them.
