Overview

This project involved upgrading the Los Angeles County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center from a WWII-era medical campus to a top of the line health care facility. These upgrades were also in part being made in preparation for the 2028 summer Olympics.

Exante360 Contribution

As part of a Master Plan to renovate the entire campus, the design plans included the construction of a new inpatient tower, outpatient services buildings, medical office buildings, administrative support buildings, parking structures, a new Central Plant, an IT building, other auxiliary support buildings, and outdoor spaces. This project encompassed multiple specialties including: security, wired and wireless local area networks, outside plant cabling, emergency responder radio coverage, and healthcare communications systems.

Benefit to the Client

Exante360 was able to provide cost savings to the client by explaining and further developing the master plan. Exante360 consultants kept the project on track through thick and thin. We assisted the project team with setting achievable expectations for technology, meeting the project scheduling milestones and with establishing comprehensive bid documents for the contractors.
