Overview

Los Angeles County provides secure detention facilities for juveniles across five locations. These camps are designed to assist minors with the development of the behavioral and social skills needed to establish a law-abiding life.

Exante360 Contribution

Exante360 was contracted to upgrade the video surveillance and network cabling infrastructure at five juvenile probation camps for Los Angeles County. The request was for assistance with installing additional cameras, as well as adjusting the current fields of view for complete site coverage.

Benefit to the Client

Exante360 designed a plan for complete field of view, and executed a system that extended the life of stored video. We also designed a secondary system to run in conjunction with the main one to ensure non-stop coverage in the form of a backup program. Comprehensive coverage without blind spots helps ensure both staff and resident safety.

Operations Perspective

The clients' existing surveillance did not meet expectations. Exante360 consulted on a variety of technical aspects, including pixel density and the ability to zoom in the frame with improved visual accuracy.
