San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC)
San Diego, CA
Overview
The San Diego Housing Commission provides housing opportunities for individuals and families with low income or those who are experiencing homelessness in the City of San Diego.
Exante360 Contribution
Exante360 provided all hazards site assessments and surveys to the SDHC using a holistic approach including crime prevention through environmental design best practices. We evaluated several locations including single living facilities and homelessness solution residences. E360 assessed the sites and built recommendation reports on a quarterly basis.
Benefit to the Client
The goal of this project was to provide safety and security improvements for both residents and staff. Exante360 was able to discern a third-party perspective of the environment that had not immediately been recognized internally throughout day-to-day operations.
Operations Perspective
During this project, SDHC made it a priority to emphasize equity. Exante360 provided recommendations that are inclusive, non-discriminatory, equitable and that promote equal opportunity. While it is standard policy at Exante360 to treat everyone as an equal and with respect, it was inspirational to work with a client that is a leader in that space, providing an opportunity to further expand upon our core values.
