Overview
Scripps Health has embarked on implementing a $2.6 billion master plan that includes construction of new hospitals and retrofits, including the HIllcrest Mercy hospital and campus in San Diego County. The new Mercy hospital will consist of three levels below grade and 12 levels above, with 710,000 square feet under roof. Estimated construction completion is 2027.
Exante360 Contribution
Exante360 is responsible for the design of all security systems including access control and alarm monitoring, video surveillance, duress alarms, and infant security. As the old buildings are demolished to make way for the new building, the team is assessing existing security infrastructure to ensure the systems remain functional throughout the project.
Benefit to the Client
Our prior experience working with Scripps Health allowed for optimal coordination with the architectural/engineering team and communication with the client’s security and IT teams. Exante360’s team is involved from programming and schematic design through commissioning and closeout.
Operations Perspective
This project has a lot of components that have to come together like a Swiss watch. The communication structure under CO architect's excellent leadership has resulted in a synchronized project approach which as allowed the project to move forward as planned.
