Overview

UC Davis Medical Center is a major academic health center located in Sacramento, California. The University of California 625-bed medical center sits on a 142-acre campus and serves as key referral center for a 65,000-square-mile area that includes 33 counties and 6 million residents. It operates inland Northern California’s only level I trauma center and maintains a staff of specialists and researchers in more than 150 areas of health care.  The campus encompasses over 25 buildings or structures.

Exante360 Contribution

UC Davis Health (UCDH) contracted Exante360 to develop a Master Plan for the organization. As part of Exante360’s mission to develop a Security Master Plan for a large organization like UCDH, the project team conducted many hours of site surveys and stakeholder interviews.  We performed an in-depth review of policies, procedures, as-builts, post orders, and compliance requirements.

Benefit to the Client

The Exante360 team worked methodically to ensure all facets of the Security program were addressed.  This included physical, architectural, operational, and technical considerations.  The assessment and interviews resulted in a Security Master Plan that served as a foundation for the Security Department to build and improve upon.

Operations Perspective

The University provided a substantial amount of backup documentation at the beginning of the project.  This allowed Exante360 to perform quite the deep dive during our assessment and following Findings & Recommendations Report.
